Exactly what Kashin uses. I considered just dropping the term Gejutsu since I already used it in Kashin’s profile, but my uncontrollable “handholding tutorial” urges told me not enough people cared about Kashin to know it, so I replaced the term with an explanation of what it is.
had my shit rocked when i learned minase wrote the bazett valentines event but it really encapsulates everything about his writing in the cleanest way. everyone with any sense hates agartha but he’s put out enough actually enjoyable writing since that it’s disingenuous to pretend he’s just a bad writer altogether at this point. minase is very good at writing about the frustration and isolation of being a competent loser and also very good at referencing an established character’s previous appearances in clever ways that reframe the context to give new meaning, which is why all the bazett parts are really good, and he struggles a lot more with completely original content that doesn’t have that existing foundation to build on and is terrible at having opinions on womanhood, which is why all the manannan parts suck ass. he’s a skilled fanfiction writer failing to expand into original work. so lb4 with its many returner characters and competent yet cripplingly isolated losers was really strong and agartha with a largely original cast featuring his opinions on womanhood is the worst thing you’ll ever read in this game

Now that Caster has been shown, I can't see him as Seimei anymore. Granted his master is Seimei's descendant, but Caster himself seems to brooding to be Seimei, the guy constantly compared to Merlin. The weird tentacle things in his palms are interesting though
Seimei is compared to Merlin in the context that he’s not a conventionally helpful person. His interactions in FGO do seem kinda playful, but Heian is a thing he’s personally invested in, and his appearances in the last 2 Summer events were under disguises. The closest we have to a comment on what Seimei is like under normal circumstances is Kintoki having a talk with Holmes and feeling like he was talking to Seimei.
Caster here certainly looks dark, but he’s supposed to. This man’s been have been quite consistently established as rancid. His first mention was Tamamo describing him as a sexy monster with a soul the color of the land of the dead. Raikou outright refuses to comment on him. Kiichi pitied Murasaki when she learned she was his student. Seimei is the only person Nagiko doesn’t use nicknames for.
And then there’s the stream where this CE was revealed and Kawasumi slipped up that Moriarty kinda looks like Seimei in this design.
